I Love Date Night!!!

Well my hubby is leaving soon for JRTC aka training for a few weeks so we are going to a much needed date. We are going with another couple and I am just so excited to get out with him without the boys. We need some much needed Mommy and Daddy time or better yet, Husband and Wife time. LOL! It will suck to be without him for a few weeks but then we will have a month before he deploys. First things first, Date Night!!! Can't wait for Thursday.

I knew it had to happen

So it finally happened. I always try to stay away from army wife drama and some how it happened. I should have known that this day would come but hey you live and you learn. Now I know why I am so cautious on who I call my friends. But if you are my friend just know that I will always be honest and true. I will never tell you what you want to hear but what you need to hear. If people don't like it than move on cause I don't have time for fake people. So, if you want someone who will just agree with you and just make you feel right all the time, that is not me so maybe it was best it had to end. Good Luck to you and just leave it at that. Enough with the drama!!!

Just preparing for another deployment..

Here we go again. Juan leaves for Iraq for the third time in Dec. I am not sure how the boy's will take it this time around. They are a little older and know when Daddy is gone. I guess I will just have to wait and see how they take it when he is gone for a month for JRTC. Wish me luck!

I can't believe I did it!!!!

Well, two years, one deployment, and two kids later, I now can say I am a graduate. I finished my last class on Monday but I am not done with school yet. I plan on getting my Masters and my teaching certification in the next year and a half. My husband will be leaving to Iraq again and I will have to take the task of being a single parent again. I am ready this time and the boys are getting older and are much easier and are so much fun to play with. We have so much to do this year from going to NY to going CA all before December. I just hope we do all that we have planed. I guess we will just have to wait and see.

It's been a long time....

Wow, I just noticed that it has been a year and a half since I have blogged and so much has happened. Well to start, the stress of being a single parent finally got to me and I was losing my hair. Then I had postpartum depression and got help from counseling, groups and support from my friends and family. I also was in a fatal car accident, I was by myself thank God and all this happened before my husband came home on mid tour.

Juan is finally home but will return to Iraq in December. We have moved to a new and bigger house and are excited that new babies are coming into the world this year. Five of our friends have had or are having babies this year so that is exciting. I graduate this July from the University of Phoenix with a Bachelors in Criminal Justice and plan to go for my Masters. We have been so blessed and I love that we still keep in touch with old friends. I'm sure I missed a few things here and there but the important things were mentioned. I will try to keep blogging and keep everyone in touch.

Having Fun

Everyday with my kids is a reminder of what Juan is missing. I wish he was here to enjoy the boys as much as I do. He is missing first words and first time tuning over. Danny knows his Dad already and waves every time we see him on the web cam but David doesn't have that luxury. I'm hoping that when Juan comes for mid tour that David will embrace him and recognize him right away but I know that wont be the case, at least not for a few days. Then they are going to have to say goodbye again. I just can't wait till we see him again. I really miss him and I know he must miss us more. Thanks to all of you who support our troops and to those who don't, please do. They sacrifice so much for all of us.

A quick update

I am in Tucson now while my husband is fighting in the war overseas. He has been gone for a little bit over two months now but it seams like forever. Thank God I have the company of our two boys, Daniel and David. Danny is 16 months now and David is 5 months. They are so cute together, Danny constantly wants to be kissing and hugging his brother. Danny is now running which gives me a great workout and David is being more active now and smiling a lot. It is amazing how kids just make your day so much better. I truly feel blessed.
